Cadillac Lyriq Reveal Poster

In a post a while ago, the Cadillac Lyriq debut was cancelled due to the pandemic. Well, now it is back on virtually for August 6, 2020.

In a press release received, the company boasts on innovations. Building on more than a century of innovation, the Cadillac LYRIQ marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand – one that is all-electric and redefines the boundaries and limits of mobility and connectivity. Cadillac is laying the groundwork for this brighter future by rethinking the interaction between the driver and the vehicle. This is evident in the all-new Escalade with impressive technologies like the first curved OLED in the industry, the industry’s first AKG studio reference system and Super Cruise.

A few months ago, GM showed off their EV platform that would eventually power their upcoming vehicles, the Lyriq and the Celestiq Sedan. This is also their first time to give vehicles a proper name and not a bunch of letters and numbers. Will they stay the same in the production units, not likely.

GM is going big, utilizing their new EV platform on a range of compact, sedans, trucks, SUVs and performance vehicles. Namely, they’ll feature across their brands including, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC.

Wanna watch it live? It’ll be tough for people in this region, but maybe worth it. Head to their website on August 6 at 7:00pm ET – which is August 7 at 3:00am UAE time.

In the meantime, check out their teaser video here:
