If it does actually go into production the Estrema Fulminea will be the first ever hypercar, let alone any EV, to include a solid-state battery. You see, no one has ever done it yet, it is the thing that all manufacturers (except possibly Toyota) believe is the future. The hybrid setup uses a combination of ABEE’s (Avesta Battery Energy Engineering) solid–‐state cells paired with ultra–‐capacitors.
This street legal hypercar will be kitted with four electric motors punching out 2,040 HP making it smash 0 to 320 km/h in under 10 seconds! It’s not just all blitz, as the hybrid battery pack of 100 kWh means you can push out a range of 520 km (WLTP). So this machine pretty much ticks all the boxes for insanity.
Now the Estrema Fulminea this car is not for the average Joe, as there will be only 61 units produced, with deliveries ambitiously set for next year. That means, you’ll need very deep pockets to able to afford one, we’re thinking this will be up in the price range of the Aspark Owl ($3.25m).
The car looks nuts, and will also be lighter than most, again due to the the high‐performance hybrid battery (with cell to pack technology) it will have a total curb weight of 1,500 kg. The Estrema Fulminea has all the makings of the generic hypercar, like carbon fiber body, but the way they’ve done it just oozes lighting fast. It looks fast even at standstill. It will have butterfly doors, and is covered in the company’s signature blue color, Azzuro Savoia. The wheels are from Oz Racing, as the signature design is unmistakable, and will be fitted with specially developed tires for it by Pirelli.
Headquartered in Modena, the home of Italian performance, Automobili Estrema is a newly formed boutique electric hypercar and supercar manufacturer. It was founded in 2020 by Gianfranco Pizzuto who was a co-founder and investor in Fisker Automotive.
