Chevrolet last week showed its fans a big new feature for their all-electric Silverado EV pickup. Their news release mentions something about ‘the Silverado to drive circles around the competition’. Hmmm… I might be wrong here, but didn’t Ford patent the four-wheel steering last year in January?
Well, while I check, the four-Wheel Steer is a chassis feature that enables the vehicle to steer all four wheels, enabling increased agility and tighter turning radius at low speeds, improved handling and stability at higher speeds, as well as great trailering dynamics.
Designed from the ground up, the Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup utilizes the GM Ultium platform and the heritage of the truck. They’re looking at offering a variety of options to feed the supposedly high demands.
Now it’s quite well known that the F-series has been kicking ass and taking names for four decades, could the electric pickup race create a new playing field? Next year is going to be big with the arrival of the Hummer EV Supertruck, the F-150 Lightning, Rivian’s range and the Silverado. Get errrrrrrrrrrr dun!
